Fremont Surgical Center Receives Certification

Fremont Surgical Center announced today
that surveyors Wednesday concluded their on-site review of the
Fremont Surgical Center located at 840 East 29th St., and as
a result of that review, the surgical center is now Medicare
Certified.
All ambulatory surgery centers approved for Medicare reimbursement
must undergo rigorous inspections by the federal government.
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services provide standards
for participation in the Medicare program. These standards
include policies and procedures for governing body, quality
assurance, infection control and physical environment. Medicare
surveys surgery centers regularly to verify that the established
standards are being met. As a result, patients visiting
a certified surgery center can be assured that the centers
provide the highest quality care.
Fremont Surgical Center is the newest member of Fremont’s
health care community. The surgery center specializes
in surgeries that do not require hospital admission. Fremont
Surgical Center provides cost-effective services in a convenient
patient centered environment. |
